CRAIGMILLAR FIRST

 

Craigmillar First is the campaigning arm of Craigmillar Community Council and is currently working on a campaign to ensure that local residents in Craigmillar have their say about the regeneration plans put forward by the City of Edinburgh Council and Parc. The Community Council will continue to organise events and produce reports and other information about the regeneration proposals. Watch this page for further information.

Craigmillar Community Council Position Statement

Following the wide consultation on the councils Urban Design Framework, the community council agreed this 'Position Statement' reflecting community concerns on the plans.

After the consultation with local residents Craigmillar First presented the following declaration to various officials and political representatives.

UDF Consultation Report

This report was produced following three months of public consultation, involving almost 300 local people. The consultation exercise was jointly facilitated by Craigmillar Community Council, City of Edinburgh Council Planning Department and PARC. Sadly, the City of Edinburgh Council's Planning Committee chose to ignore the report and agreed the Craigmillar Urban Design Framework despite the communities concerns.
